The rising misuse of weight loss drugs for vanity purposes has not only hijacked the conversation around obesity and made it about body size and vanity, it has also resulted in a shortage, making it so patients whose health actually depends on the drug have a harder time getting access to it.

We wanted to refocus the conversation around obesity on a night where the use of these types of drugs for vanity takes center stage— The Oscars.
